About the Job

The Senior Strategic Planning & Project Management Specialist plays a key role in supporting the organization's strategic planning, strategic performance management and monitoring, and institutional development functions. The position is responsible for coordinating strategic and operational planning processes, monitoring organizational performance, managing strategic data and reporting, and supporting projects and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, governance, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate planning sessions and support departments in developing, reviewing, and aligning their operational plans with the organization’s strategic framework.

  • Assess the operational and financial implications of proposed programs, expansions, and strategic initiatives to support prioritization and decision-making.

  • Monitor strategic performance, analyze data, and prepare dashboards, reports, and performance insights for management.

  • Coordinate and manage organizational projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and approved timelines.

  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integration of strategic data in coordination with relevant departments and the Monitoring and Evaluation function.

  • Identify strategic performance gaps, risks, and deviations, and contribute to developing and following up on corrective and risk-mitigation actions.

  • Support projects throughout their life cycle, including initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring, knowledge transfer, and closure.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to support organizational growth, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Propose and assess pilot projects and improvement initiatives and support the institutionalization of successful practices.

  • Prepare project documentation, progress reports, presentations, and meeting minutes as required.

  • Contribute to policy and procedure reviews, risk management activities, governance enhancements, and organizational development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in strategic planning, project management, data analysis, organizational development, organizational reporting and learning or related fields.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic and analytical thinking.

  • Data analysis, KPI monitoring, and dashboard development.

  • Research, report writing, and presentation preparation.

  • Proficiency in digital collaboration tools and AI-enabled productivity solutions.

  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, workflow optimization  and ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

  • Attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Adaptability, teamwork, and change management capability.

  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to design, prepare, and deliver clear and engaging presentations.
