Principal Communication & Events Specialist

At Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation we're looking for a Principal Communication & Events Specialist to join our team.

About the Job

Planning, managing, and coordinating high-impact events, programs, and communication initiatives in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives and communication goals. This includes overseeing event execution from concept to completion, managing internal teams and external partners, implementing effective promotional strategies, and ensuring seamless experiences that strengthen the organization’s identity and public presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver organizational events, conferences, ceremonies, cultural activities, and partner programs from concept through evaluation.

  • Oversee all event logistics, including venues, technical setups, invitations, registrations, protocol, scheduling, and guest management.

  • Develop event operational plans and identify required resources to ensure efficient delivery.

  • Ensure consistent application of the organization’s corporate identity across all events and communication outputs.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of events and campaigns.

  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and agencies, including contracts and procurement requirements.

  • Develop and implement communication and promotion strategies aligned with organizational goals and target audiences.

  • Plan and execute media and advertising campaigns, monitor KPIs, and recommend improvements to enhance impact.

  • Oversee the development, production, and archiving of communication materials (print, digital, and visual).

  • Supervise media coverage and the production of photos, videos, presentations, and multimedia content.

  • Manage digital content and communication channels, monitoring performance and media presence.

  • Manage budgets related to events, campaigns, and advertising, and prepare financial and operational reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Media, Event Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in communications, events, public relations, or a related discipline, with demonstrated responsibility for large-scale initiatives.

  • Proven experience in planning and delivering high-profile events, campaigns, and public activities end-to-end.

  • Strong experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and promotional campaigns.

  • Solid experience in budget management, financial tracking, and reporting.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.

  • Strong organizational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

  • High level of professionalism, judgment, and ability to represent the organization effectively.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, agencies, and service providers, including contracts and procurement processes.
