Audio & Video Media Assistant Specialist


About the Job
Planning, operating, and managing audiovisual equipment and technical aspects of events, conferences, and multimedia initiatives in alignment with organizational objectives. This includes overseeing setup and live operation, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining and preparing AV equipment, producing multimedia content, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless and high-quality experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment operation: Set up, operate, and test a wide range of AV equipment like projectors, screens, microphones, cameras, and sound and mixing boards.
Event Support & Preparation: Provide technical support and ensure venues and equipment are fully prepared for events, conferences, and video meetings.
Content production: May include video capture, editing, and distribution, as well as preparing materials like teleprompters.
Technical Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve audio, video, and lighting issues while maintaining and managing AV equipment to ensure readiness and optimal performance for all events.
Collaboration: work with teams and clients to plan and execute technical and production needs for events and multimedia initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education/Experience: A bachelor’s degree or technical certification in media production, multimedia studies, or a related field, plus a minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise with audio equipment, video cameras, lighting systems, and professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
Required Skills & Competencies
Excellent knowledge of cameras and lighting techniques.
Knowledge of multimedia production software and editing equipment.
Ability to use computer systems for multimedia projects.
Problem-solving: Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical problems under pressure.
Attention to details for equipment setup, maintenance, and inventory management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work flexible working hours.
